This may well be the funniest film series ever (either this or American Pie or Austin Powers). Each film provides a great parody, the first film is a parody of Scream, the second is a parody of pretty much all scary haunted house style films and the third is a parody of the ring . The third film is probably the funniest.
The Scary Movie Trilogy. In 'Scary Movie 3.5' Cindy has now left college and is making a living as journalist and TV news reporter. When crop circles start to appear in Tom Logan's farm, right about the same time that a good friend of hers is murdered by a psychotic video tape Cindy plays a hunch that the two occurrences are somehow related.
